Oil & Gas Abstractor
Currently we are seeking Abstractors in the following counties: Tioga County, Armstrong County, Washington County and Greene County.
We are looking for an individual who is motivated to do independent, accurate, detailed work. 1-year experience conducting title research & property search required. Must be available to start immediately upon hire.
Duties Required
- Determining the ownership history of oil & gas, coal and other minerals, as well as liens and transactions shown in the public records for a specific property or tract of land
- Creating lists of mortgages, titles, contracts and other private and public legal documents
- Research any restrictions that might exist on titles to land, homes, and other buildings
- Research will be passed on to title examiners and attorneys who prepare Certified Title Opinions
- Be able to make a liability call
- Exhaust all avenues to obtain needed information
